Barkitecture 'A Visit to Hollywoof'
The Homeless Animals and all of us at the Benicia Vallejo Humane Society, we are inviting businesses, community groups, neighborhood groups and individuals to support our upcoming Gala Auction by building a domicile or donate products or services to be auctioned off at Barkitecture "A Visit to Hollywoof"
Vallejo, CA (PRWEB) February 16, 2009 -- Barkitecture is not just two great fundraising events, it is also a competition in which businesses, community groups, neighborhood groups and individuals compete to create unique, custom designed dog domiciles, dog & cat furniture, bird roosts and multiple pet domiciles. The festivities include music, catered cuisine, a premium raffle and a grand silent & live auction of items created exclusively for Barkitecture through gifts generously donated by local businesses.
The goal of Barkitecture is to raise much-needed operational funds to care for the animals and for outreach to build awareness of the plight of the many homeless dogs, cats, other animals available for adoption and helped through the Benicia Vallejo Humane Society.

New things are happening this year to keep the event fresh and exciting. Our new web site www.barkitecture.net. In these difficult economic times we see the need to work togther to make ends meet. So we are offering local 501c3 non-profit groups that enter into the competition 25% of what their entry sells for at the Barkitecture Gala Action on April 3, 2009. We call it our community spirit porject.

The "People's Choice" Voting and Preview Party will be held Friday, March 27, 2009 at 5:30p.m. at Team Superstores, 301 Auto Mall Parkway, Vallejo, CA. It will offer the first view of the domiciles to be juried and then auctioned off on Friday, April 3, 2009 . Barkitecture festivities begin at 7:00 pm (business casual attire) at the Solano County Fairgrounds, McCormack Hall, Vallejo CA. The event will feature music, dinner, silent & live auctions, a premium raffle and more.
