Endeavor Telecom's Atlanta-based Employees Collect 2,148 Pounds of Canned Goods in Food Drive for Atlanta Community Food Bank

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 2, 2009 -- Endeavor Telecom, The Telecom Truck Roll Company of Choice for carriers, service providers, VARs, and equipment manufacturers, today announced that its Atlanta headquarters' employees have collected 2,148 pounds of food items in the company's December food drive, and have donated the proceeds to the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB). Endeavor employees' efforts and contributions will supply over one thousand one hundred meals to low-income Georgians through ACFB's network of more than 800 nonprofit partner agencies throughout Atlanta and North Georgia.

"The canned food drive has become a highly anticipated holiday event for all Endeavor staff," said Jennifer Baron, Manager of Executive Initiatives for Endeavor Telecom and food drive coordinator. "Not only does the staff get pumped up trying to break the previous year's mark, there is also a deep sense of pride in doing something positive for the community, especially during the holiday season."

As with previous food drives the Endeavor staff was split into teams, each sponsored by a member of the executive management team, which promoted a friendly, if not aggressive, competition aimed at maximizing the positive impact for the Atlanta community. The strategy once again proved to be successful, as the results yielded over 1,100 meals for low-income families.

The annual holiday food drive is just one of the many service projects in which Endeavor has participated. Previous efforts include assisting Habitat for Humanity in building homes in the Atlanta area, and the Hunger Walk, which is also sponsored in part by the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
