The continued growth and expansion of Dataprise, Inc., the preeminent provider of IT service support to small businesses in the mid-Atlantic region, is represented in the promotion today of two senior managers to new positions on the executive team, and a prestigious appointment to a list of top Maryland businesses.

Scott R. Gordon has been elevated to Dataprise's Chief Operating Officer. Gordon previously served as Vice President for Technical Services at Dataprise. He is a seasoned operations professional who brings more than 10 years of technical management experience to his new role. He has been with Dataprise since soon after the company was founded in 1995. As Chief Operating Officer, Gordon will oversee day-to-day operations and report directly to president & CEO David Eisner.

David A. Dekowski was named Vice President of Business Development. Most recently, he served as National Sales Manager at Dataprise, a position he held since soon after joining the firm in 2003. Dekowski will be responsible for the sales force and revenue generation. He will also report to Eisner.

"The newly created positions reflect our success in providing comprehensive, affordable and personalized IT support, and are an important part of our strategy for continued achievement in the market," said David Eisner, president and CEO of Dataprise. "Scott and David are each uniquely suited to their new roles, and I look forward to working closely with them to provide small businesses with our premier IT service offerings."

Dataprise was recently named to a prominent list of privately held Maryland businesses from DiversityBusiness.com, the nation's leading business-to-business Internet site. The ninth annual Maryland Top Business List for 2009 is comprised of companies that represent the state's top multicultural earners and challenge the long-held notion that a privately held business is small or insignificant.

"We are pleased to be named to the list of Maryland's top businesses," continued Eisner. "Dataprise is consistently recognized for its outstanding support of clients and a clearly-defined business philosophy. This most recent recognition and new appointments signal our strength in the industry."

"Entrepreneurs are a growing force in the U.S. economy, and a force to be reckoned with," said Kenton Clarke, CEO of Computer Consulting Associates International, the company that built DiversityBusiness.com. "This is a whole business segment that can carry its own, that provides jobs, products and services, and generates wealth for their communities. These are the new leaders in American business."
