NCE Computer Group (USA) is pleased to announce its recognition for commitment to conserving the environment, by achieving accreditation to the ISO 14001:2004 standard.

The accreditation is an internationally recognised standard that sets out how an organisation can implement an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The objective of the standard is to reduce the environmental impact of the business whilst still achieving profitability. The commitment and participation of the whole organisation is an essential element in achieving this objective. This creates many benefits including better management of environmental risks and overall cost savings in terms of consumption, waste and recycling.

In order to achieve ISO 14001 certification, an organisation needs to identify the aspects of the business that impact on the environment and the environmental laws that apply. Once certification is in place, the organisation is then required to implement an action plan with set objectives to reduce and manage the organisation's environmental impact. This plan is continuously reviewed to monitor improvements. The EMS is periodically assessed to ensure compliance.

"This accreditation is clear testimony to NCE's commitment to the environment and the good practice that runs throughout the company" states Pam Short, Quality Manager at NCE. "Environmental impact is becoming an increasingly important issue across the globe and this certification underpins our commitment to manage our impact on the environment. We are extremely pleased today to have reached this significant point in our Environmental Management Programme. Having achieved ISO 14001 certification for our European facility in November 2007, we can now take great pride in announcing that our complete global operation is now fully endorsed by this ISO Standard"

NCE will continue to strive for improvement and innovation in our environmental performance whilst providing the best possible service to our customers. NCE appreciates their responsibility and will always contribute positively to our natural environment.
