1click actions, the creators of the 1click range of Photoshop Actions, has announced the release of the 1clickactions Action Station. Designed to as a streamlined workflow alternative to the action palette the Action Station offers rapid browsing and powerful search functions to users of Photoshop actions. Details can be found on the Action Station site at http://www.1clickactions.com/actionstation.htm.
"The most popular request from our customer feedback monitoring has been for some way to organize all the actions we provided", says 1click's David Gill. "Until now our customers have had to navigate the Photoshop action palette and as our range of actions increased so did the size of the action palette."
"Our Action Station is designed to offer an alternative solution to managing not just our actions but those of other vendors as well. From a single dialog users will be able to browse and run their actions without having to locate them in the palette. The Action Station search function takes usability a step further by letting users type in an action name, or even a part name, and the software locates all matching actions irrespective of which set they are located in."
The Action Station is compatible with Photoshop CS2, CS3 and CS4 on both Mac and Windows platforms and is available immediately from the 1clickactions website priced at $47.95. A UserGuide can be downloaded from http://www.1clickactions.com/pdfs/ActionStationGuide.pdf
Since being launched 3 years ago the 1-click range of Photoshop actions has expanded to include over a dozen different action sets, borders and edges, page layouts and Lightroom presets. There is also an active user group with regular competitions, tutorials and downloads.
