Graphic Screens from The CDC Group Promote New Baycare Sports Medicine Center in Green Bay

The CDC Group, Inc. completed one of the largest graphic shade image installations in the country at the new BayCare Clinic Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Center in Green Bay, WI. The CDC Group, which is based in Chicago, designed the series of ten custom automated window shades which measure 24 feet tall by 20 feet wide. Each window shade features a double-sided image of an athlete in action to promote the sports medicine services at the clinic.

Chicago (PRWEB) February 5, 2009 -- The CDC Group, Inc. completed an installation of eye-catching graphic shades at the new BayCare Clinic Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Center, part of the Aurora BayCare system in northeastern Wisconsin. The windows, which measure 24 feet high by 20 feet wide, are covered with motorized shades featuring illustrations of athletes in action, from football to biking to tennis.

"This is one of the largest graphic shade image projects in the country," said Sam Lallas, president of The CDC Group. The installation included 10 windows with double-sided graphic shades, so images are visible from the building's interior and exterior. The shades are housed in custom 6 ½ inch diameter tubes, and The CDC Group designed and installed custom pockets for the motorized components.

"These windows are a great marketing tool for BayCare's Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Center," says Lallas. "Everyone who passes the clinic notices the huge images and immediately understands that the center serves athletes."

The motorized shades also support the BayCare center's overall green design and are factored into the building's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating. Automated window treatments, which allow users to automatically adjust window coverings to control light and heat, are a key component of green design. "Daylight harvesting can make a huge difference in energy use and operating costs," notes Lallas.

The CDC Group client list includes many hospitals and health care centers, among them Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, St. Mary's Medical Center in Madison, WI and Adventist-Bolingbrook Hospital in Bolingbrook, IL.
