Dayton Attorney Anne Harvey Certified by Ohio State Bar Association in Family Relations Law
Dayton-area native becomes one of just 104 lawyers in Ohio to earn distinction.
Dayton, Ohio (Lexis Nexis/PRWEB ) February 5, 2009 -- Anne Harvey has been certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in family relations law. This certification makes Harvey one of just 104 attorneys in Ohio to have earned this important distinction.
The certification is only bestowed on select attorneys who devote a large part of their practice to a particular area of the law. To earn her family relations law certification, Harvey demonstrated substantial and continuing involvement in family law practice, provided references from judges and other lawyers attesting to her competency in the field, attended advanced continuing legal education courses in family law, and passed a written examination in the specialty area.
The Ohio State Bar Association is accredited by the Supreme Court of Ohio to offer certifications to attorneys in 17 different specialties. The bar association is the largest certifying agency in Ohio and was responsible for certifying Harvey.

Harvey grew up in Miamisburg, Ohio and attended the University of Dayton, where she earned both her undergraduate and law degrees. Following her graduation from law school in 1985, she accepted a position with the law firm Rain Harrell Emergy Young & Doke in Dallas, where she practiced government contract law and civil litigation. In 1989, Harvey returned to Dayton and worked as a trial attorney in the Contract Law Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where she was responsible for an independent docket of cases before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals. In 1991, Harvey entered full-time private practice in order to implement her own ideas and philosophy about practicing law.
