Men's and women's baksetball training facility will see flooring work complete by end of March

Connor Sport Court International has been selected to install sports flooring in the new Weatherup Center at, Arizona State University in Tempe.

The Weatherup Center will be the men's and women's basketball training facility for the University and is expected to be completed by May 1.

Connor Sport Court, working with Sun Country Floors, will install 23,000 square feet of its Rezill Channel '01™, the company's high performance hardwood flooring system, said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court. The surfacing will start late February, with that portion of the facility being completed in about one month.

"Our Rezill Channel 01 was selected by ASU because of the new features offered as a result of our development work. Rezill provides outstanding shock absorption, area deflection, vertical deflection and ball rebound. It offers greater resiliency and greater uniformity. The result is better performance and reduction of injury for the athlete," said Cerny.

The new Rezill Channel 01 meets DIN 2001 (Deutsches Institut fur Normung), the German system adopted for standardized international testing of performance of sports floors.

Connor Sport court has launched three new improved hardwood surfaces, including Rezill Channel 01, Green Play™, and S Channel HC™. Each has a specific place in the market with different performance qualities, said Cerny.

Gary Gray, Southwest Regional Manager, sold the project in conjunction with Sun Country Floors, the installer on the project.
