Mascus, the Pan-European marketplace for used machinery and trucks enters another continent

London, UK (PRWEB) February 24, 2009 -- Mascus, the Pan-European marketplace for construction, agricultural and material-handling machinery to forestry and groundscare machines, transportation vehicles conquers another continent. Popular listed machinery includes used tractors, trucks, trailers and excavators. At the beginning of January 2009, Mascus marked a significant step in its internationalization by opening an office in the Republic of South Africa. The South African office marks the first Mascus office outside Europe and altogether the 25th office Mascus has established.

"In 2008, we have been constantly expanding our European presence and have opened another eight European countries to the Mascus brand. However from its very beginning the year 2009, proves to be even more promising and challenging. With the new office in South Africa we are no longer only a truly Pan-European marketplace for used machinery, as we are entering new continent," says Fredrik Larsson, Mascus' Managing Director.

New continent, new partner:
The new Mascus office is opened in partnership with the South African classified media company Junk Mail Publishing. Junk Mail Publishing runs various Internet marketplaces for buying and selling from used and new cars, trucks, trailers, plant machinery, and motorcycles to jobs, real estates and other horizontal classified portals and publications.

Junk Mail Publishing has already appointed the new Mascus South African Country and Sales Manager -- John L. Smith and he has already started selling Mascus' services on the South African market. "Even though, the South African Mascus site -- www.mascus.co.za is running from just three weeks, there are already local African dealers placing used construction machines, trucks, tractors, harvesters, forklifts, and groundscare machines," says John Smith.

"I am not surprised that Mascus's concept has been so easily applied in South Africa," adds Mascus' Sales Director Rickard Petersson. "Everywhere, we have tried to sell our services, Mascus has been successful. Dealers simply see the benefits to use our electronic marketplace to place their machines ads," he adds.

New opportunities for Mascus' customers:
Along with the developing the local European market, Mascus has always provided excellent export opportunities to its customers. With the opening of the South African office, Mascus offers better export possibilities to the African and Middle East market.

"In the current economical situation, we offer our customers the possibility to sell their used transport vehicles, forklifts, construction, agriculture, forest and groundscare machines on the import markets in Eastern Europe, Middle East and all the way to South Africa now," adds Robert Tate, Mascus UK and Ireland Sales Manager. "There is no other easier solution to sell your used machinery or trucks in whole Europe and the world now, than Mascus," he concludes.
