The Train Station, Houston's Personal Training Studio for Women announced a free series of Nutritional Lectures, kicking off Saturday February 7th at 12:30PM at The Train Station located at 1608 Bissonnet Street in Houston.

The first lecture, entitled The Big Picture: Body Composition, Blood Sugar and Calories will be led by Nutritionist, Lindy Filis. It will cover key topics, including what roles nutrition and exercise each play in health and body composition, how much progress you can expect to make with calorie manipulation alone, and how much more progress you can make when also balancing your protein and carbohydrate intake.

The second lecture in the series will be held on March 14th and is entitled: Putting It Together: Recommended Products and Creating Recipes. It will cover practical suggestions to make healthy nutrition achievable for different lifestyles. It will also discuss the process of change itself and help you decide how much nutritional change is appropriate for you to make at one time.

"We're proud to be able to provide a casual environment where women can get straight answers about fitness and nutrition. So many women think that their progress will come from 4 or 5 half hour workouts per week. Quite frequently, they think they've done their work for the day when they leave the gym so they put it out of their minds. The reality is that significant progress comes from what they do outside the gym. It comes from the work they put into their nutrition. We've had many clients who have resisted nutritional change for years, and once they started to focus on nutrition, the weight finally budged and blood results started improving. While exercise is vastly important, it is only part of the solution," states Train Station owner, Elizabeth Zamadics.

The lecture series has limited seating. Participants can sign up and reserve space online at http://www.Trainfit.com.
