Bizy, Inc. has released Bizyweb Simple CMS support for the Firefox browser on Windows. Initially the rich Internet application (RIA) was released with support for Internet Explorer. The Firefox support will increase the penetration possibilities for the Bizyweb application and will be particularly appealing to universities and educational institutions.
In addition to the Firefox support, the new release contains two other important features:
- Multi-User Concurrency Control
- Style Customization
Bizyweb four-step web publishing includes: select, change, preview and publish. By selecting only a portion of a page, called a Place, the look and feel of the page is maintained. The concept is called Place Management®. Places can be defined graphically by the end-user using the Enabler or explicitly by a web-developer who wants to fine tune the editing. Co-located with the web server, there is no installation required. Just copy the files to the website. Bizyweb is your Plug and Play Webmaster®
In a multi-user environment, concurrency control provides serialization for editing pages and file management operations. Please read the latest whitepaper describing the scenarios in the Bizyweb Concurrency Control.
For highly styled pages that repeatedly use custom styles, the product now supports a user-defined list of styles which will be presented to the editorial user by the Bizyweb Place Manager®. Please read the new document at bizyweb.com on how to take advantage of custom styles in the editing process.
Concurrency control, Firefox support and custom styles are important steps toward the enterprise version of Bizyweb.
Both the free, single-user version and the new multi-user version with Firefox support are available for download at bizyweb.com.
