San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 8, 2009 -- Tendo Communications announces that Charlotte Ziems, vice president of client engagement, has been named a 2009 Fellow of the Society for New Communications Research. She joins the Society's existing group of business leaders, scholars, professional communicators, members of the media, futurists, and technologists from around the globe.

The Society's Fellows collaborate on original research and educational programs focused on the advanced study of emerging trends and developments in media and communications, and their effect on business, professional communications, media, and society.

During 2009 Charlotte will focus on measurement and metrics (specifically ROI) of social media initiatives within B2B companies.

"Charlotte has a deep understanding of social media strategy, programs, and metrics that uniquely qualifies her as a thought leader and authority on new communications initiatives," said Karla Spormann, president and co-founder of Tendo Communications. "Her work for Tendo clients like Hewlett-Packard has been exemplary and Charlotte consistently delivers auditable results that are core to Tendo's brand of active engagement. We congratulate Charlotte on her appointment to this distinguished role."

"We are delighted that Charlotte Ziems has joined SNCR as a Fellow to lend us her expertise, and are confident we will benefit greatly as a result of Ms. Ziems' participation," stated Jen McClure, executive director of SNCR.
