Georgetown, Texas advertising agency has signed on to provide pro bono marketing services for the Joshua Frase Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting ongoing medical research for myotubular myopathy and other congenital myopathies.

IF marketing & advertising, a full-service agency located outside of Austin, TX, is providing pro bono services to help raise awareness and donations for the Joshua Frase Foundation. Founded by Paul and Alison Frase and named for their son, Joshua, the Joshua Frase Foundation is a non-profit organization, funding research for a cure for myotubular myopathy and other related congenital myopathies. IF marketing & advertising is helping the foundation through traditional and email marketing campaigns, website development and search engine marketing.

The Joshua Frase Foundation was founded by former NFL player Paul Frase and his wife Alison, after their son, Joshua was diagnosed with myotubular myopathy. Myotubular myopathy (MTM) is a form of congenital myopathy, a family of muscular disorders that block the transfer of genetic information and affect muscle development in unborn babies. Children born with MTM suffer from a greatly impaired quality of life, and most have a life expectancy of only a few years.

By raising awareness for MTM and funding research at some of the country's leading hospitals and laboratories, the Joshua Frase Foundation has helped researchers make significant advancements in identifying possible causes of the disorder, as well as developing genetic therapies and regenerative medicine approaches to treating and eventually curing the disease. There is considerable progress being made, but research is expensive and funding is difficult to obtain, especially for rare disorders like MTM.

IF marketing & advertising will help the Joshua Frase Foundation increase exposure and raise awareness for the myotubular myopathy through an ongoing interactive campaign, including traditional and e-marketing, search engine optimization and website optimization. IF will also help the foundation promote the upcoming JFF Muscle Dream Team Gala, an annual event held to raise money and awareness for the foundation. Every year, many of Paul Frase's former teammates, NFL players and a host of other guests attend the event. This year, the JFF Muscle Dream Team Gala will be held on April 2, 2009 at the Boston Harbor Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.

"We're thrilled to be able to help the Joshua Frase Foundation increase awareness for MTM," said Jeff Novak, CEO of IF marketing & advertising. "There is a wonderful family and an incredible group of people behind this foundation, and it's an honor to be a part of their work. We hope our efforts can help them get closer to finding a cure for Joshua and the thousands of other children affected by this disorder."
