Marketing Partners of Phoenix Enters Sponsorship Marketing Agreement

Phoenix-based Marketing Partners, a strategic marketing, advertising and public relations firm that serves a diverse local, regional and national clientele, reports that its Sponsorship Development Division has entered into a marketing agreement with the nationally renowned Manzanita Speedway, site of some of the greatest triumphs of many of auto racing's legendary drivers.

Allan Starr, president/CEO of Marketing Partners has announced that the new division of his agency that features specialized programs for its clients seeking to gain sponsorship support has signed its first client.

Starr said the division's vice president/general manager, John McGinley of Scottsdale, a veteran of the interactive attractions segment of the auto racing field and a former Hollywood-based Paramount Pictures creative designer, will personally head the project.

McGinley, whose credits include Days of Thunder, starring Tom Cruise, and who has been a successful attraction developer on the NASCAR circuit since 1999, will work closely with the legendary dirt track's new general manager, Hollywood Leary and Manzanita's owners Mel and Bobby Martin in developing sponsorship deals for the newly refurbished and widely acclaimed southwest Phoenix racing oval.

Packages featuring three levels of sponsorship are being developed by McGinley and Leary, and many will be in place for the upcoming season which debuts on February 20th with the Sands Chevrolet Copper on Dirt, presented by NAPA Auto Parts, one of racing's premier events, and one that has become a racing enthusiasts' "must-see" on the North American Open Wheel calendar.
