Website and Blog Help Families Find Toys Suited for Special Needs Kids

Share Article is a new website that specializes in toys - fun, educational and everything else in between - for children. The site also has a wide selection of toys suited for special needs kids of all ages. Recently, the site added a blog to its many features.

There are toys for kids of all ages

For many people, the term "special needs" is something that brings to mind the connotations of specific disorders such as Down Syndrome and Autism. But upstart web store not only focuses on special needs children's toys, but also toys for kids with specialty needs.

"Some kids may be handicapped in a physical or mental way, but there are also children who are raised in single parent homes who need the same amount of love, care and attention as any other special needs child," explained Becky Libbert.

Libbert is the founder of RAL Worldwide and the grandmother of a special needs child. When she found it difficult to find toys that would help her grandson's developmental skills, she did something about it by opening one of the most comprehensive children's online toy stores.

"There are toys for kids of all ages," said Libbert, who started the store in October of 2008. "I'm going to continue to branch out with different types of items like electronics, bikes and games - toys that are good for leisure, entertainment and education."

Currently, the RAL Worldwide's catalog is a mishmash of various developmental and fun toys such as kids' laptops, Melissa and Doug products and wood blocks. There's also a selection of children's décor and dress-up sets - both of which can assist in increasing a child's imagination.

In addition to expanding her website, Libbert has recently started a new blog,

"I want to create a place to share some of my experiences and to hear other parents and grandparents stories. A place where caregivers can post their frustrations and their joys regarding that special needs child," said Libbert. "There are many grandparents and parents out there who have stories and creating a forum where we can exchange our tales is what I want to accomplish."

Clearly, Becky Libbert is a person whose experience with children - both special needs and otherwise - is something of immense love and care, so much so that she's created a business around it. Though some people may misunderstand children in general, it's comforting to know that there's at least one person out there whose knowledge is ready to be shared with people who are ready to learn.
