Canton, OH (PRWEB) February 13, 2009
Online marketing veteran Jennifer Evans Laycock has joined Canton, Ohio based SiteLogic (http://www.sitelogicmarketing.com) as their new Director of Social Media. Laycock will be responsible for expanding SiteLogic's existing search marketing and analytics team to offer social media services in order to fully meet the needs of its growing base of clients.
"Jennifer and I have been working together on consulting projects for a number of years. Bringing her on board is an exciting move for us here at SiteLogic," explains Matthew Bailey, President of the company. "The market is demanding more from online agencies and bringing Jennifer on board allows us to expand our services to meet those needs."
Laycock comes equipped with an extensive background in online marketing (http://www.searchengineguide.com/jennifer-laycock/). She has spent the last five years as Editor-in-Chief of Search Engine Guide, the popular small business marketing site. She also serves as chair of the recently launched Small Business Marketing Unleashed (SBMU) conference series and has authored two ebooks dedicated to small business marketing.
"I've taken a break from agency work for several years to focus on consulting while having and raising my children," said Laycock. "They're getting older now and I've been looking for just the right opportunity to rejoin a team and to focus my efforts on crafting and guiding social media strategy for larger clients. Matt is putting together an impressive team at SiteLogic and I'm looking forward to joining them."
SiteLogic was founded by Bailey in 2006 (http://www.sitelogicmarketing.com/about-sitelogic) and has flourished into a full service online agency specializing in search engine optimization, usability and analytics.
"SiteLogic has always offered social media as part of our services, but it has been a compliment to our SEO and analytics, not a core service," said Bailey. "Bringing Jennifer in allows us to offer a proven expert to our clients, shifting Social Media into a core service offering. Combining analytics, SEO and social media will enable us to provide a more powerful marketing mix to our clients."
The addition of Laycock will expand the company's services by bringing in a recognized expert in the field. Laycock's extensive resume as a highly requested speaker and corporate trainer will also allow for the expansion of SiteLogic's educational offerings. Laycock will retain her position as Editor-in-Chief and owner of Search Engine Guide.
