This invention is patented, and a prototype is available.
The "Versatile View" could be incorporated into existing window treatments or it can transform a window shade into an attractive focal point in any room.
Made of lightweight, sheer fabric, the attachment could be produced in a variety of colors, patterns and embellishments. The Versatile View would easily attach to the rail of a roller shade by hook and loop fasteners. The overall length of the attachment would vary, depending on the position of the roller shade. When the shade is partially rolled up, the attachment would cover the window, providing privacy from outside views, while allowing natural, dappled sunlight to pass through. This would help give some protection to fabrics and wood furnishings from the sun's damaging rays.
