The Mentholatum Company, maker of the Softlips® premium lip conditioning line, today announces the winner of its third annual Softlips® Picture Perfect Lips national lip contest. The honorary title of prettiest pout has been bestowed upon Keshia Peterson, 14, of Worland, WY, who was chosen from thousands of entries, submitted since the contest kicked off in July 2008.

"We are pleased to announce Miss Peterson as the winner of our third annual contest," says Jennifer Hamberger, brand manager for Softlips®, which includes the popular line of SPF 20 flavored lip balms, sheer tinted lip conditioners with SPF 15 and new USDA-certified organic lip balms. "We believe that Miss Peterson's beautifully shaped and well cared-for lips best represent our brand's image of healthy lips."

When contacted with the news of her win, Peterson explained how excited she was to be recognized as the girl with the most perfect pucker in America.

"It is so exciting that I was chosen as the winner, especially when so many girls participated, and I was chosen out of all of them," said Peterson. "The contest was a lot of fun, and the best part is that I can now use Softlips® for a whole year without running out!"

The judging for the lip contest was spearheaded by Danielle Korwin, president of Parts Models in New York City, the only modeling agency devoted solely to beautiful body parts. The winner was chosen based upon the following lip criteria: shape and fullness, texture, as well as their photogenic nature.

The 2008 competition involved more than 3,000 contest entries via the Softlips® Web site (http://www.softlips.com) and U.S. mail.

As winner of the grand prize, Peterson will receive a $2,500 cash prize and a one-year supply of Softlips® products. Ten runners up will also be awarded a year's supply of Softlips® products. A photo of Peterson, as well as the runners up, can be found at http://www.softlips.com.
