AWE Communications and iBwave Solutions Develop a New Functionality to Import Outdoor Prediction Data into the RF-vu Software

AWE's WinProp propagation model software allows to import propagation maps from Outdoor software tools into iBwave's RF-vu Software, to bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor wireless network designs

AWE Communications, the Germany-based established software company announces today that its integrated propagation tool will be used by iBwave Solutions, the leading in-building wireless standard software company, to support the import of wireless outdoor prediction data results into iBwave's RF-vu flagship product. The leading outdoor planning companies that are supported through this interface are Forsk and Aircom International.

iBwave's affiliation with AWE dates back to 2007, when AWE and iBwave developed a strategic partnership to use AWE's propagation engine within RF-vu's RF-Propagation add-on Module, to allow RF Engineers to design, manage, maintain and accurately predict wireless indoor networks with true RF visualization. AWE's extensive propagation modeling experience will help once again support iBwave's new feature, allowing to import outdoor 3D prediction maps into RF-vu and to simulate indoor and outdoor networks simultaneously.

The constant evolution of the WinProp propagation software allows iBwave to use the latest technologies propelled by AWE's product. The competitive edge the propagation tool gives iBwave has led to the development of the first integrated indoor/outdoor functionality, where outdoor network data and maps can be imported and integrated into iBwave's RF-vu, offering for the first time the possibility to have a single view of a building's coverage.
