Electric Cloud®, the leading provider of software production management (SPM) solutions, today announced that Joe Keller has joined the company's management team as vice president of Marketing. A veteran of the technology industry, Keller is responsible for helping define and drive the strategy and direction of Electric Cloud's Software Production Management (SPM) products and technologies in the marketplace.

"Demand for technologies that help organizations reduce costs and streamline development processes -- essentially do more with less -- is going to be very strong this year, and Joe is the right person to help us accelerate Electric Cloud's momentum in this environment," said Mike Maciag, CEO at Electric Cloud. "Joe will be a key contributor to the company's management team as we expand into new markets."

Keller joins Electric Cloud from Kapow Technologies, a leader in the Web 2.0 space, where he drove the marketing efforts for Kapow's award-winning Web Intelligence products. Keller was previously vice president of Marketing for SOA and Integration Platforms for Sun Microsystems, where he was responsible for the overall direction of Sun's SOA and Integration technologies, and drove corporate strategy for Web services and Java standards. Keller held previous positions at Sun, including full leadership of the iPlanet Application Services team and general manager of Sun's Developer Environments and Tools group. Before joining Sun, he was responsible for managing sales and systems engineering for Texas Instruments' national accounts and reseller programs in San Francisco. Keller earned a B.S. in economics at the University of California, Davis, and an M.B.A. at the University of Texas, Austin.

"Electric Cloud's SPM solutions have been instrumental in helping development teams meet the challenges of today's ultra-competitive market by boosting developer productivity and significantly reducing software development costs," noted Keller. "I look forward to helping Electric Cloud capitalize on current market opportunities with solutions that provide impressive bottom-line returns."

Electric Cloud's SPM solutions optimize the "back end" of the software development lifecycle, or the build-test-deploy processes, in both physical and virtual IT environments. Many Electric Cloud customers have demonstrated annual productivity gains and cost savings of more than $2 million each with the company's award-winning products: ElectricCommander®, ElectricAccelerator®, and ElectricInsight®, which automate, accelerate and analyze SPM.
