Children Uniting Nations, (CUN) celebrates their 10th anniversary viewing of the Academy Awards and after party this February 22nd at the Beverly Hilton. The event is presented by The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, Swaggmedia.com and 93.5FM The Beat radio station who will be broadcasting all night. Swaggmedia.com will be live streaming globally all night in efforts of raising awareness for the charity. Children Uniting Nations, a global nonprofit, aims to bring communities together and come to the aid of children most in need.
"In an unsteady economy, those already less fortunate and underserved often get forgotten- we need to have this event to remind everyone that while we are celebrating, there are many less fortunate that need our help," Says CUN Founder Daphna Ziman. "Often the best cure for worry or anxiety about our own problems is to help someone less fortunate including the foster and at-risk youth we serve who need positive interaction with caring adults.
The CUN dinner and viewing party will screen the Academy Awards live while recognizing CUN award winners including a special Humanitarian award. The Spirit of Life Award will be presented to the Black Eyed Peas while other special honorees include Karen Bass and Cathleen Shera. Last year, the event had over 70 celebrities attend to raise awareness for CUN programs. Past attendees/performers have included such devoted talent as Wyclef Jean, Chaka Kahn, Christina Milian, Peirce Brosnan, Tracy Edmonds, Radha Mitchell, Esai Morales, Jane Seymour, IceT and many others. This year, DJ AM, the Jabbawockeez and Doug E. Fresh will keep the guests on their feet and in the mood to celebrate and join hosts comedian Tommy Davidson and Fox 11's reporter/journalist Christine Divine.
Confirmed guests include: Jane Seymour, Stephen Dorff, Garcelle Beauvais, Camryn Manheim Christina Milian, Bai Ling additional attending guests and performers will be announced shortly.
