Bid on 150 works by local established and emerging artists in live and silent auctions at San Francisco's premier visual art event, ArtSpan's Benefit Art Show and Auction, at SomArts Bay Gallery, 934 Brannan Street in San Francisco, on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 6:30 to 9:00pm (6-9pm for VIPs).

ArtSpan invites you to San Francisco's premier art event. Enjoy exciting silent and live auctions featuring local artists, devour fancy hors d'oeuvres catered by Thomas John Events, and sip cocktails with a San Francisco flavor. The Benefit Art Show & Auction is a lively art and social event. It gives long-time art enthusiasts and newcomers to the art scene a fun, relaxed atmosphere in which to socialize and buy affordable art. The auction will feature 150 original artworks in a variety of media. Refreshments are provided courtesy of area restaurants, dessert shops, wineries, and breweries.

Proceeds from the auction benefit all of ArtSpan's programs, including Art for City Youth, serving over 700 underserved youth, and San Francisco Open Studios, the city's largest free visual arts event held each year featuring over 800 artists.
