Mediafly is truly the way of the future, and we're delighted to add it to the Logitech Squeezebox family
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 19, 2009
Today, Mediafly announced it would offer its service through Logitech® Squeezebox™ network music players - enabling a vast library of podcasts and radio shows at no additional charge. With Mediafly and a Logitech Squeezebox, consumers can listen to the news, sports, comedy, pop-culture, and technology shows and podcasts they love - in any room of the house.
"With Mediafly, you can use your Squeezebox to discover and enjoy Internet radio shows and podcasts just as easily as you now tune into Pandora and Rhapsody," said Carson Conant, Mediafly's CEO. "Mediafly is dedicated to making Internet media easy to access for everyone. Our integration with Logitech Squeezebox is a significant step toward realizing that vision."
Beginning today, consumers may use Logitech's Squeezebox player to access Mediafly's popular channels. By simply turning on a Squeezebox player and connecting to the SqueezeNetwork, Mediafly will automatically be available - there's no account sign-up necessary. Or, users can take personal control of the channels by opening a free Mediafly account and adding it to the SqueezeNetwork settings.
Plus, if one has other devices that use Mediafly, such as an iPhone™, and adds new shows through those devices, Mediafly will automatically update the SqueezeNetwork account.
"Mediafly is truly the way of the future, and we're delighted to add it to the Logitech Squeezebox family," said Robin Selden, vice president and general manager of Logitech's Streaming Media business unit. "Mediafly adds an entirely new dimension to the type of content you can get through your Logitech Squeezebox. Now, you can listen to a world of music - and a world of news and entertainment - streamed to any room of your home."
In addition to online radio and podcasts, Mediafly lets consumers listen to their favorite podcast and radio shows from the major networks or discover fresh, new shows on virtually any subject imaginable. With Mediafly, one can search more than 25,000 shows and more than 6 million episodes directly from Squeezebox players.
