We'll still be in New York City, we'll still be the same great team of engineers, experts, and young people, and we'll still be developing the Thrive you've come to know and love. Thrive will still be free. Thrive will still have your best interests in mind at all times. Thrive will still work for you.

Avinash Karnani, co-founder and former CEO of Thrive (justthrive.com), blogged Tuesday about the company's recent acquisition by industry-leader Tree.com, Inc. On Thrive's official blog, 'Good to Grow', Karnani discussed the future of the free web site designed to help people improve their financial health and how members stand to benefit from the Tree.com integration.
The focus of the post was devoted to what will stay the same at Thrive. Karnani says, "We'll still be in New York City, we'll still be the same great team of engineers, experts, and young people, and we'll still be developing the Thrive you've come to know and love. Thrive will still be free. Thrive will still have your best interests in mind at all times. Thrive will still work for you."
Regarding the corporate structure of the acquisition, Karnani was light-hearted about stepping down as CEO, joking that he is hoping his new title will be "Vice President of Awesome." He also hinted at new additions to Thrive's 10-person team, which may reflect the recent posting of Senior and Junior Software Engineer positions to the company's jobs page. Karnani also praised Tree.com CEO and Chairman Doug Lebda as a leader in making personalized financial services on the web a priority and discussed how Tree.com's resources will help Thrive deliver on their shared mission.
Karnani adds, "Tree.com brings not only a wealth of knowledge to this partnership, but they also bring the resources that we need to take Thrive to the next level of service. We run an active user testing program, we've read thousands of feedback e-mails, and our dedicated experts have spent countless hours working and thinking and designing to make sure that we know what you want, what you need, and what will actually help you. And with the help of Tree.com, we now have the resources to deliver that vision to you."
