Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) February 18, 2009

MedPlast has recently announced the expansion of its mold manufacturing facility in West Berlin, New Jersey. The facility specializes in highly complex molds serving the healthcare and select industrial markets.

Since the acquisition of ATP and K&W Medical Specialties in April of last year, MedPlast has invested heavily in the businesses. The West Berlin plant has recently added new high speed CNC machining centers and EDM machines with robotic tool changing capabilities. The plant has also experienced a complete upgrade and redesign to optimize efficient work planning and further focus on clean manufacturing processes, an absolute necessity to comply with current healthcare standards.

"The new machines and now totally upgraded facilities allow us to more effectively compete in the demanding markets that we serve. We will continue to stay at the forefront of technology and in turn offer our customers the benefits of working with an innovation leader," said Robert Piccoli, Vice President and General Manager of MedPlast West Berlin. "All engineers and project managers have a strong tooling background, and all tool makers have a minimum of 10-15 years experience in the industry."

MedPlast West Berlin is an established leader in Multi-Shot and Over-Molded applications. The new enhanced and expanded facility will support the adjoining molding operation as well as the other four MedPlast plants located throughout the United States. A similar expansion is planned for the Tempe AZ facility in 2009.
