In addition to the robust feature set association users are accustomed to, Association Anywhere 6.0 offers the following feature enhancements:
| | - A complete redesign of the user interface utilizing rich internet application (RIA) technology to greatly enhance user interaction. ACGI has incorporated new AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML)-based components to streamline navigation and data entry, and provide rapid access to applications and data for increased productivity. The use of this RIA technology also simplifies system administration for power users that configure Association Anywhere's modules for membership, events, accounting, product sales, self-service and other applications. This enhancement cuts setup time by almost 60% which means quicker implementations and faster time to value.
- A new portal module that allows users to customize Association Anywhere's interface with relevant information they need to do their jobs efficiently. The portal includes a number of simple out-of-the box "portlets" that aggregate data from all business areas in the system and across multiple data sources. End-users can add, move and remove portlets as they wish. ACGI expects to roll out more portlets in future releases, including syndicated content from various web services. Customers can also create their own custom portlets with the product's Portlet Builder.
- An expansion of the Enhanced Reporting and Business Intelligence module, built on Business Objects™ XI (BOXI) technologies. New add-on components include advanced visualization, dashboarding and business performance management, allowing organizations to gain better insight into all aspects of their association's business.
- An enhanced Web services architecture with a Web Services Generator, allowing technical users to publish real-time XML feeds without having to write any code.
- Integration to a greater number of third-party systems and services including Microsoft® Exchange, Google® Maps, address verification, social networking platforms and content management. ACGI continues to work with its technology partners on integration to reduce the manual processes users contend with daily.
