The debut of A Stroke of Pink (ASOP), a new social media experience for young women ages 13-21 who aspire to careers in the fashion industry, became official on February 14, 2009. ASOP will deliver fashion knowledge and industry access to young women regardless of their location or background. It's a place where anyone whose passion is fashion can get an unprecedented industry "in" and jumpstart their career.

ASOP will provide a new gateway to the fashion world by allowing girls and young women to safely network, interact with industry leaders and get firsthand knowledge about what's new in the fashion community. Ambitious fashionistas can also further their careers with insider information about internships, scholarships, job opportunities, and fashion shows and events.

The online presence of AStrokeOfPink.com will ensure that every eager young fashionista is empowered to explore her creative voice and talent in a safe, dynamic digital community. Site monitoring will be handled by Mzinga, a social media monitoring service used by many of the world's leading brands.

ASOP will also offer incredible experiential learning opportunities to senior fashion design students from top programs. Students will develop blogs and features, arrange interviews with industry leaders and gain access to fashion events and shows while earning academic credit. New design students will assemble into Student Agencies each season that will develop fresh collections of ASOP.

The new networking site has already won the attention of major fashion figures including Project Runway contestant Sweet P Vaughn. "I understand the passion a young girl can feel for design and the intense struggle of finding a way to use that talent. I am excited about the opportunities AStrokeofPink.com will offer this next generation of fashion leaders," Vaughn said.

A Stroke of Pink is the brainchild of Luckie Daniels, the Chief Fire Starter of The Little Pink Engine, Inc. LPE is a PINK-powered IT Boutique focused on digital fashion, ASOP and a blog called And Speaking of Pink (AndSpeakingOfPink.com). With the launch of A Stroke of Pink, Little Pink Engine will endeavor to change the fashion world by enabling young women to alter their fashion dreams into haute reality.

About Luckie Daniels: Luckie is a seasoned IT Project Manager whose professional background includes The Walt Disney Company, UPS, Coca-Cola, and Home Depot. In 2007, she had a baby girl and suddenly found that she fell in love with pink. The color began to find its way into her life more and more, and May 2008 she was inspired to begin The Little Pink Engine, Inc. when her 13-year-old niece, "Jazzy," showed her sketches of her very own fashion collection. She decided to build an online community where talented young women like Jazzy could learn, grow, and build their fashion careers regardless of their background or location.
