Real estate transactions are increasingly driven by real estate agents and Web-savvy first-time homebuyers

Closing.com has announced a partnership with the American Land Title Association to offer ALTA members a new opportunity to reach thousands of local home buyers, sellers and real estate professionals with a free company listing on the site.

Closing.com is the most comprehensive source for real estate closing services on the Web. The site makes it easy for visitors to find title insurance providers by ZIP code, learn more about each company serving their area, their policies, title insurance rates and other relevant information, all on one easy-to-use Web site.

"The time has come for the title insurance industry to embrace the Internet and reach out directly to consumers and real estate professionals who are shopping for title insurance," says ALTA CEO, Kurt Pfotenhauer. "In addition to reaching real estate professionals, Closing.com enables consumers who are buying, selling or refinancing to find our members and learn more about them before making a decision."

More than 1,400 title companies across all 50 states have entered into agreements with Closing.com to list their services and enter their rates into the company's rate management system. Participants range from small, local companies that serve a single county to the nation's largest title insurance companies.

Some 250,000 businesses are listed on Closing.com with more rates for real estate closing services expected in the coming months. Proprietary rate engines make it possible to display title insurance rates instantly, customized to the user's transaction.

"Real estate transactions are increasingly driven by real estate agents and Web-savvy first-time homebuyers," said Closing.com CEO, Anthony Farwell. "As the industry shifts toward more e-commerce activities to meet those needs, our aim is to provide a one-stop shop that enables vendors to promote their services, upload their rates and generate more business."

The Web site can be accessed at http://www.closing.com. To verify their free business listing, ALTA members can call 1-866-CLOSING (256-7464). Title professionals can add a link to their Web site, descriptions of their services, brochures, coupons and promotional messages, track new leads and use simple tools to upload title insurance rates and fee disclaimers.
