Teaming me up with fellow Brit Josh Crocker was a genius move on Keatly's part

pigFACTORY Music Publishing is pleased to announce the signing of Olivia Broadfield to Vagrant Records. Vagrant will release Olivia's debut album, Eyes Wide Open, this summer through a partnership with Olivia's own label Cherry Bang. "I feel like the luckiest girl alive. Since I signed with pigFACTORY, things have taken off in such a big way. It's just been unbelievable," said Broadfield
Since being signed to pigFACTORY in 2007, audiences have heard Olivia's downtempo electronic-pop songs on popular television shows such as The Hills and The Real World, the Jessica Alba-starring film The Eye, and just last weekend during the GRAMMY Awards as the featured song in the Lincoln Automobile commercial campaign. "We are very proud to have Olivia in our family," says pigFACTORY CEO Keatly Haldeman. "Everyone who hears her music or speaks to her falls instantly in love with Olivia."
Olivia's "Indescribable" recently played during the 2009 GRAMMY® Awards as a featured song in Lincoln Automobile's "Music Challenge" competition. It was one of ten songs chosen out of 300 entries by acclaimed producer and music supervisor Gary Calamar. Directed by Kurt Nishimura, the video can be seen in its entirety at http://www.cbs.com/lincoln. Nishimura also directed Broadfield's "Silence," which charted on VH1 and recently wrapped the video for her debut U.S. single, "Don't Cry."
Olivia wrote and recorded Eyes Wide Open in her "rock 'n' roll bungalow" home studio based in a small village in the middle of England. She sent tracks over the Internet to pigFACTORY producer SilvaChord (aka Josh Crocker) and together they created the expressive, sparse sound of the album. "Teaming me up with fellow Brit Josh Crocker was a genius move on Keatly's part," said Olivia. As a result, Eyes Wide Open is full of beautiful and emotional electro-indie-pop songs that go straight to the heart. http://www.myspace.com/oliviabroadfield
