CEO, Steve Durante, announces rapid growth in Outerlink's next generation, aviation, safety and communications systems.

Outerlink Corporation, a leading provider of satellite-based mobile asset management solutions, announced today the addition of Travis County EMS, CareFlite (DFW), and Carolina Healthcare to its customers installing the OuterLink Voice & Video Recorder into their aircraft. The OVVR takes the place of existing OuterLink control heads and expands the capability to include Voice Messaging over the satellite network as well as providing a 5 channel voice and one channel video recorder. Mr. Dauphinais stated,
" CareFlite has an ongoing SMS effort and the OVVR Voice & Video Recorder allows us to gain a great deal of capability without having to sacrifice any space or weight. As an integrated solution the system will allow us to add a flight data acquisition capability in a very cost effective manner as we continue with building our FOQA program."

The Travis County STAR Flight program in Austin, Texas recently changed to the OuterLink tracking, messaging and recorder system in an effort to stabilize costs, increase position reporting to 30 second intervals and to be proactive in enhancing their ongoing SMS program with voice and video recording. Director of Aviation, Willy Culberson said "The 30 second reporting interval enhances our Communication Center's ability to provide flight following and flight locating services throughout our response area. The OVVR will provide a method for quality assessment and review of flights flown during training and actual rescues." An example of the OVVR operation at STAR Flight will be on display at the OuterLink booth 1418 at the Heli Expo in Anaheim, CA Feb 22-24.

Installations have been accomplished in the EC145, BH430, and A109 airframes with no change in panel space and a < 3 oz increase in weight. Metro Aviation has already upgraded a number of their aircraft and seen positive results in additional communications and enhancing their ongoing Safety Management System (SMS). Milton Geltz of Metro Aviation commented "We saw the need for this capability over two years ago and OuterLink stepped up to the plate and developed a system configuration that met our needs and contributes to our commitment to safe and responsible operations. Our Operational Control Center can easily communicate with aircraft anywhere from locations such as Toledo, Ohio to Harligen, Texas at a very reasonable cost."

"This technology is of particular importance to the HEMS industry as they strive to improve safety. Development and installation of the OVVR clearly demonstrates how OuterLink and our customers are far ahead of the safety recommendations that came out of the 2006 NTSB recommendations as well as those presented in detail at recent NTSB hearings in Washington, DC. Our product clearly exceeds the safety examples presented during the hearings and more importantly provides our customers with a cost effective building block for adding a data acquisition and management system module. "We remain a customer requirement driven company with a strong focus on providing fully integrated solutions that yield a financially prudent investment." said Outerlink CEO Steven Durante.
