On January 15, 2009, Kurt Hansen and Mile High Sports Radio AM 1510 announced Hansen's Race Central Radio show will debut on its new home Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The weekly show covers all facets of NASCAR, motor sports and motor sports celebrities and has been a staple for racing fans for eight years in the Rocky Mountain region.

Mile High Sports Radio CEO, Kevin Medina, said that partnering with Race Central is a natural addition to the station's lineup, "Race Central really helps us round-out our commitment to be Denver's sports leader. In addition, Kurt is a well-known and respected national personality whose take on motor sports is fun, fast-paced, controversial, a bit edgy and very much in line with the personality of Mile High Sports."

After several years on other stations in Denver, Hansen said that Mile High Sports offers a great opportunity to extend the Race Central brand, "'Mile High Sports' multi-media platform offers us a great mechanism to extend our reach and deliver information to race fans on a much broader scale - and during primetime. This exciting new partnership not only moves us to a two-hour primetime weekday slot, but gives us an armada of additional programming and marketing assets to better promote Race Central Radio and TV. It also greatly enhances all of our partners and sponsor's presence through our mutual radio, TV, email blasts and magazine outlets. Our move to primetime radio in weekday programming also gives our sponsors an additional listener audience to which their advertising message will be delivered for even greater marketing results. This partnership is truly a programming and marketing coup for our listeners, viewers and all our partners."
