CEO Steven Durante announces an agreement with DHS Customs & Border Protection Air & Marine Operations Center

Outerlink Corporation, a leading provider of satellite-based mobile asset management solutions, announced today it has teamed with the DHS AMOC at March AFB in Riverside, CA, to provide satellite tracking data from all commercial satellite tracking systems in domestic use today. OuterLink will integrate satellite data feeds from MSAT, Iridium and Inmarsat based tracking systems. The program will allow aircraft operators who use differing satellite tracking systems to voluntarily share position and unit ID information data to the Customs & Border Protection's Air & Marine Operations Center. The purpose of the program is to assist Customs & Border Protection in quickly identifying radar tracked aircraft and reduce costly intercept operations.

"The homeland security partnership between Outerlink, commercial aircraft operators and the Air and Marine Operations Center will greatly enhance our ability to quickly detect and identify aircraft operating near the border environment. This commercial satellite tracking data will be used to furtherance our homeland security mission," said AMOC Program Manager Henry Killian.

OuterLink is providing this service to satellite based tracking operators. Those operators who wish to participate can contact OuterLink Customer Support (support (at) outerlink (dot) com) to get program details and register for the service.

"We are very pleased to be in a position to aid in our country's security efforts. We believe everyone in the aviation business sees the common purpose in this program and our willingness to provide this service stretches across any competitive arena. We recognize there are multiple hardware and service options available to aircraft operators and we do not believe this should be part of that competition. This is a program of national security and aircraft safety and we are proud to be able to contribute. The data sharing is strictly limited to the CBP AMOC," said Outerlink CEO Steven Durante.
