NetBurner today unveiled the all-new SB70LC, a device that quickly adds SSH/SSL secure Ethernet connectivity to serial devices. The SB70LC solution targets applications that control, configure or log information to or from serial devices accessible on a local network or via the internet. The board ships with an application that includes a data encryption option that ensures that serial devices are protected from unauthorized access.

The SB70LC brings simple and secure Ethernet and Internet connectivity to new or existing applications using SSH, SSL, TCP and UDP protocols. It is ready to run out of the box with no programming required. The initial setup, configuration, and diagnostic programs are easily accessed via the web page interface or included network utilities.

The NetBurner SSH and SSL solution has been fine-tuned to take advantage of the incredible performance and architecture of the 32-bit Freescale Coldfire processor. The 147MHz ColdFire processor with 8MB of memory has the horsepower required to deliver secure data in a fraction of the time it takes competing products, all at an affordable cost.

Providing the latest in high-performance connectivity options, the NetBurner SB70LC board includes 10/100 Ethernet, 15 digital I/O, two UARTs, I2C, SPI and SD/MMC interface with SDHC support. Fat32 support is included for use with SD cards for up to 8GB of storage space.

The SB70LC can be customized to suit any application using a network development kit which provides access to web page customization, data filtering, general purpose I/O, I2C, SPI and SD/MMC flash card interfaces. The kit contains all the hardware, software, and tools needed to start writing application code immediately including: RTOS, TCP/IP stack, web server, Eclipse IDE, C/C++ compiler and debugger.

NetBurner leads the industry with the most innovative and comprehensive suite of software for editing, compiling, linking, and loading applications into embedded network hardware; fueling the creation of cutting edge network-aware products.

The SB70LC hundred piece price is set at $49 USD and the NNDK-SB70LC-KIT costs $99 USD. Both can be purchased through the NetBurner online store at http://www.netburner.com.
