Carroll was recognized as a Leader in Banking Excellence by the Tennessee Bankers Association. The Association created its Leaders in Banking Excellence recognition to celebrate exceptional bankers throughout Tennessee’s history.

Carroll is a veteran banker with 45 years of experience. In 1972, he moved to Sevier County in Tennessee to help start Citizens National Bank where he later served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Bill is a member of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees and a Board Member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati.

The Leaders in Banking Excellence are displayed on a designated high-traffic area of the new Tennessee Bankers Association building, with each honoree’s name included as a permanent addition to the building.

Honorees were announced in a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee and presented with a commemorative plaque highlighting their careers.
