This higher level of access to designers and customization is the future of specialty retail, especially in a city where everyone wants to look the same

Curve and couture evening dress designer Annarita Celano have merged forces to create a new definition of a trunk show. The designer will display her Spring/Summer 09 collection at Curve Los Angeles on February 24 - 25 by appointment only.

In a new twist, clients will be able to fully customize their cocktail dress or gown during a private fitting with the designer and get couture pieces at prêt-a-porter prices. Curve seeks to push the boundaries of specialty retail by extending this rare opportunity to clients.

Annarita Celano has designed for various luxury brands such as Fendi, Missoni, Luella, and Custo Barcelona before branching out to start her own collection. Exclusively made in Italy by the same factory as Atelier Versace, Celano has created a luxury couture eveningwear collection for a woman who loves to feel both feminine and elegant. She uses lavish fabrics from candy silk, organza, duchesse, to metallic lace and macramé alongside a palette of soft velvety hues. Her dresses are sophisticated chic; the perfect option for a cocktail party, black tie dinner or ball, and, of course, a red carpet event. Celano's dresses were in demand for the festivities leading up to the Oscars, and a dress was just selected by Jennifer Aniston to wear during the European press tour for her film, "Marley & Me".

Curve, known for innovation and being on the cutting edge of fashion and style, forges new territory with this new trunk show format. "This higher level of access to designers and customization is the future of specialty retail, especially in a city where everyone wants to look the same," Borissova says. "We are excited to give clients the opportunity to express their own individuality through these beautiful, rich gowns." This collaboration is another example of Curve's continuing commitment to providing the utmost in style and service to their clients.
