The nationally syndicated "Allen Hunt Show," talk radio's only program that talks about real life issues and the impact of faith on them, announced that its host, Allen Hunt, was recently honored as one of TALKERS Magazine's "Heavy Hundred." Hunt ranked as 41st most popular host on the list of the country's top 100 talk radio programs. With this special recognition, TALKERS Magazine identifies "The Allen Hunt Show" as one of the nation's leading talk radio programs. Since its inception in 2008, the show has significantly increased its nationwide reach, adding over 55 affiliates to its roster.

The Allen Hunt Show was one of only two weekend talk programs to be recognized by TALKERS "Heavy Hundred" among an exceptional and diverse list of hosts and shows covering a wide variety of subject matter. According to the publication's Web site, the editorial staff compiles the rankings, and the acknowledged hosts must meet several criteria, including (in alphabetical order) courage, effort, impact, longevity, potential, ratings, recognition, revenue, service, talent and uniqueness. To be considered, hosts must be on the air at the time the publication goes to print with the award issue. They must also have a regularly scheduled professional show on the air a minimum of one terrestrial or satellite radio station or Internet domain at press time.

"Being named to the TALKERS Magazine Heavy Hundred speaks volumes about Allen's hard work and our increased presence and extensive growth in the spoken word radio arena," said Phil Tower, general manager of "The Allen Hunt Show." "It really is unprecedented for a show less than two years old to receive such a high industry honor. Much credit for our consistent growth in listeners, affiliates, and industry recognition is due to the uniqueness of the host and subjects that Allen talks about. Allen stands out as a special voice in large sea sameness in talk radio today. He has a gift for choosing topics and developing different angles on the newsmakers and major events that most of us are talking about. In a way, he's introduced a new brand 'relevance' to spoken word radio."

Listeners to the "The Allen Hunt Show" can tune in nationwide on any of the program's nearly 70 affiliate stations, reaching from Hawaii to Portland, Maine.
