GBK Had More Oscar Nominees, Presenters and Winners Than any Other Gifting Suite

Celebrities came out in full force to support the Charities at GBK Oscar Lounge.

The only reason I came to this suite was to support the non-profits.

GBK introduced a new way to give and the Celebrities certainly appreciated the opportunity to meet the various charities involved. GBK's Academy Award Gift Lounge- "Circus of The Senses" held on February 20 & 21, 2009 at the SLS Hotel donated 20% of Proceeds to its Benefiting Charitable Organizations: Director Antoine Fuqua's Fuqua Films Program; Homeless Not Toothless, Hollywood Dreamz, and Worldteam Foundation.

Actor Adrian Brody said, "The only reason I came to this suite was to support the non-profits."

Numerous celebrities, VIPs, and Media came out for the same reason. While there, they also had an opportunity to experience 'A Circus of The Senses' as they touched, felt, smelt, tasted and walked their way through this Academy Awards Themed Gift Suite. They started out by seeing a magnificent Oscar themed cake from Hansen's. With help from Freshwata designs, and flowers from My Flower Guy, each gift room represented the theme and décor from a 2009 Academy Awards Nominated Best Film: 'Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' 'Frost/Nixon,' 'Milk,' 'Slumdog Millionaire,' 'The Reader'. The SLS Hotel provided hors d' oeuvres and sweets from famed chef José Andrés, including homemade Bon-Bon's topped with "Oscar" Gold Dust.

This trend-setting suite had an array of products, services and health & beauty treatments, for the 2009 Academy Award Nominees and Presenters valued at more than $45,000.

Many of the bigger celebrities were used to getting these luxury gifts. Some of the new comers however were in shock with what they were receiving. Winner, of Best Original Screen Play, Dustin Lance Black was so excited when he was offered a 5 night get away to Six Senses Destination Spa in Thailand including room, meals and spa services at a choice of 2 five star spas. When Michael O'Connor, winner of best costume design was offered an elegant Milus Swiss watch from their exclusive line, he said, 'Are you serious?'

There were plenty of other great items being given out at the suite as well. Dr. Chiu's Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Inc, was offering a One Year gift certificate of cosmetic treatments such as facials, chemical or organic peels and micro dermabrasion; IndulgentEscapes.com, the finest in luxury travel, gave out 5-night vacations at exclusive resorts. Some of the vacations options include Raffles Canouan Island, The Crane Resort, Barbados, Beach and Water Club in Puerto Rico, Morritts Grand Cayman as well as other properties in the Caribbean and Mexico.

Sports Club LA gave out One Year membership to any of their fitness clubs. SLS Hotel's "Golden" Treatment included: A one-night stay at the Philippe Stark-designed SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills, dinner for two at The Four Star Bazaar by José Andrés, and any spa treatment of choice at the newly launched Ciel Spa at SLS. Another hit were the Trispecs Stylish sunglasses with built in ear buds, capable of switching between voice communication and stereo music with the push of a button.

Interestingly enough the guys from 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' which won best make-up were impressed with 'magic' of LifeCell Skin Care, making lines and wrinkles vanish before your eyes. Revitalash was Gifting their coveted eyelash conditioner that lengthens and thickens eye lashes, as well as their brand new hair product called Hair by RevitaLash, a conditioner that gives you thicker and fuller hair. Barbara Conner Jewelry had their Tahitan, South Seas and fresh water jewelry that men and women alike loved; K-SWISS, had their latest model shoes; Metrolpolis had their new travel size high end curling, flat irons and blow dyers which the travel enthusiasts were very excited about.

Nourot Glass Studio with their blown art glass pieces in the Italian tradition was a hit too. Rock our World gave out $250 gift certificates and healing salt rocks. The celebrities were going to stay healthy with the return of both Nordic Naturals and Verve Energy Drink. They were both back again giving a year supply of the purest in Omega-3 Fish Oils, vitamins and healthiest energy drink on the market.

Also Generate 1000 one of the most powerful anti-aging dietary supplements in the world was on hand, and Lalo Fuentes was giving out fitness training sessions and his DVD Lalo Fit; STYLESHOP USA presented such brands as Christos Dovas USA, Phillip Stein Wine Wands and Candoni Prosecco Wines; Everyone was excited to see Senseo Coffee passing out their single-serve coffee makers and Godiva Coffee.

Other hits of the suite included Force for the Earth environmentally safe and non-toxic force fuel and engine conditioner; elegant CROTON Watches; Earth Kits for the kids in the celebrities lives; Explore Talent, Dare Ettinger's amazing natural jewelry, custom EMRE NY Purses; Pur-Lisse Beauty, Kirkwood International, Sake One., I.C.O.N. Products, Thinker Clothing, J&A Shoe Company, Amazon Thunder EMINENCE ORGANICS and STEVE KAUFMAN Pop Art Originals

On the beauty front, invited guests were pampered with on-site beauty treatments and beauty products from Body Beautiful including slimming body wraps and rejuvenating facials. Nominee Rebecca Alleway who had the treatment done, said, "how amazing". Mistura Beauty was on site doing makeup and of course they used their custom-blended mineral-based multi-functional makeup. Other treatments included sunless tans by Infinity Sun; hair cuts and styling by 9022 salon owners, Patrick Theohar and Merlin Osbourne. Dr. Kawesch and Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley was on hand to give our certificates to get LASIK eye surgery, so they could how beautiful they now look.

And, lastly, to honor its continued commitment to charitable giving, FUQUA FILMS PROGRAM, Noted Film Director Antoine Fuqua (The Shooter, "Training Day and this year's big hit at Sundance "Brooklyn's Finest)non-profit, HOMELESS NOT TOOTHLESS, an organization dedicated to providing dental care to the homeless; HOLLYWOOD DREAMZ, a charity dedicated to improving children's lives by providing crucial support for children's education, arts, and character development programs in the greater Los Angeles area, and WORLDTEAM FOUNDATION committed to the education and prevention of human trafficking, all received a gift bag that they could auction off for their cause.
