EuroMillions MegaJackpot Worth $128,000,000 says National-Lottery.com

Euromillions is celebrating its fifth birthday with a guaranteed superdraw lottery payout of a staggering €100,000,000 (which equates to around $128,000,000 or £85 million) on Friday 6 March says www.national-lottery.com. Whereas Superdraws normally have to be won on the night, this jackpot will be allowed to 'roll over' to the next week.

London, UK (PRWEB) February 26, 2009 -- Euromillions is celebrating its fifth birthday with a guaranteed superdraw lottery payout of a staggering €100,000,000 (which equates to around $128,000,000 or £85 million) on Friday 6 March says www.national-lottery.com.

Whereas Euromillions Superdraws normally have to be won on the night, this jackpot will be allowed to 'roll over' to the next week. This means that if nobody matches all five Main Numbers plus the two Lucky Stars, the next jackpot could reach a massive $300 million.

The Euromillions lottery is one of the biggest success stories in global lottery history. Launched on 13 February, 2004, the lottery was originally played in just three countries, and was operated by the national lottery operators of each participating nation -- Camelot in the UK, the Francaise des Jeux in France and the Loterias y Apuestas des Estad in Spain. Today Euromillions is played in nine European countries: Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

The biggest Euromillions jackpot so far stands at €183,573,077 (around $235 million). This was shared between three jackpot winners in February 2006. The biggest individual winner so far is Dolores McNamara from Ireland. She won €115,000,000 ($147 million)in July 1995 and traded her modest bungalow in for a huge mansion.

To win the jackpot, players need to match five main numbers picked from 50 and two "Lucky Star" numbers from 9. The odds of doing this are 1 in 76,275,360. If you don't win the jackpot, 11 other tiers of lesser prizes are available, and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.

Winners will have just 180 days to claim their prizes otherwise it is forfeited. So it would be a good idea to check the Euromillions Results as soon as possible after the draw.

With such a colossal jackpot up for grabs, many EuroMillions lottery players will be taking the game a tad more seriously, and many will try to adopt a system to 'increase' their chances of success. Some will play patterns on the board, others will look at which numbers have appeared recently, but the majority will still use the old favourites of birthdays and anniversaries. Whichever way they choose their numbers, national-lottery.com wishes everyone who participates in Euromillions good luck.
