The new Vertical Information Portal (VIP) All About Bikes, http://www.allaboutbikes.com, has finally gone live after years of dedicated research and motorcycle rider feedback. Julian Taylor, the creator and life-long motorcycle enthusiast, recently commented: "Today is a momentous day in the life of the new Vertical Information Portal design. The first of our content driven websites concentrates wholly on motorcycles and the various ways in which people enjoy them. All of our editorial content pertains to the motorcycle or motorbike enthusiast. Through this portal we bring together all of the many exciting genres pertaining to motorcycles and motorcycling life. We are adding fresh, new content every day and we cover virtually every aspect of motorbikes imaginable. This is truly one of the most comprehensive sites on the web today, and we have something for everyone." Taylor is a native of the UK, now living in PA and a rider/enthusiast for over 16 years.
While the new site is called a "Vertical Information Portal" it could just as easily be consider horizontal--horizontal in the sense that it covers all aspects of motorbikes and riding. Visitors will find quality writing on all aspects of motorcycles including specific departments such as Everyday Riding, Track Day, and Industry information to name a few. Everyday Riding will be most appealing to recreational riders at all skill levels. Track Day is a very exciting section dedicated to those who want to learn and hone their track skills. Industry news includes in-depth and timely articles from across the motorcycle spectrum on a global basis. And this is just the beginning of what All About Bikes has to offer.
When asked why he choose this format for his new site, Taylor responded: "It's been my vision and the vision of Julian V Holdings, LLC to develop a network of VIP's that attract a specific demographic user, to a specific vertical portal, which I honestly believe enhances the user's experience. Instead of wading through a mess of unrelated material, the visitor gets what he wants, when he wants it, and it's always fresh and relevant material, designed specifically to meet that person's interests."
For those new to VIP's (vertical information portals) a visit to the site will be rewarding and refreshing. VIP's are designed to use various methods of content delivery, such as RokBox for high-quality image delivery (see the 2009 R1000 on the home page), video, module movers, and it even includes a database for Track Day enthusiasts to post their times throughout the season.
