FinLab SA is pleased to announce the release of the next generation of PackHedge™, an integrated software solution for investment data management, research, analysis, asset allocation modeling, portfolio management, Fund of Funds shadow accounting, due diligence and report publishing. In addition to a redesigned user-interface, PackHedge™ v4.0 features enhanced functionality to its Fund of Funds - Shadow Accounting module which enables greater transparency into the liquidity of the portfolio.

PackHedge™'s Fund of Funds - Shadow Accounting module permits a user defined Chart of Accounts for tracking transactions, shareholder positions and allocations for analyzing the evolution of the fund of funds balance sheet, including number of shares, NAV prices, expenses, fees, cash, future/forwards and equalization. Valuation, analysis and reporting can be conducted on Daily, Weekly and/or Monthly time periods. "The enhancements to our Shadow Accounting module delivered in PackHedge™ v4.0 represent a year long effort to include additional liquidity views at the portfolio and asset levels," states FinLab's CEO, Denis de Pentheny O'Kelly. "PackHedge™'s unique capability of offering a truly integrated research, analysis and portfolio management platform allows investors to monitor their investments from multiple vantage points."

FinLab clients utilizing the new Fund of Funds - Shadow Accounting module have the ability to easily access Liquidity, Subscription and Transaction views in user-defined layouts to quickly assess exposure level detail, amounts that are locked-up, current and remaining investments and redemption schemes. "The ability to click on any fund and see your entire exposure with liquidity terms, across all your fund of fund portfolios, provided our clients with the tools to be some of the first to assess if they had exposure to any of the troubled Madoff related investments," adds de Pentheny O'Kelly.

Though the Shadow Accounting module was originally designed for fund of funds, multi-family offices and consultants utilize the module to track their client's portfolios and managed accounts to provide more timely analysis and reporting. PackHedge™'s integrated solution helps to automate processes, create greater internal efficiencies, reduce operating expenses and enhance the client experience. Having the ability to instantly view all clients' positions in a given asset is invaluable. This new functionality in PackHedge™ v4.0 offers an increased capability to fulfill fiduciary responsibility and provide more timely monitoring of portfolios.
