Loaded and wide, nüvi 760 has it all -- advanced navigation features, a widescreen display, preloaded maps, an FM transmitter, hands-free calling, traffic alerts and more. Like the rest of the wide nüvi 700-series, its premium navigation capabilities, like route planning and an emergency locator, give you peace of mind on the go.

The 700 series of the Garmin GPS navigation system has added two new, exciting features to their already wildly popular GPS navigation system including multi-destination routing and the "Where am I?/Where's my Car?" feature. The Garmin Nuvi 760 has all of the speed and reliability of the Garmin line with a satellite lock as part of its integrated receiver and comes in a slim, pocket-sized design with a gorgeous display and an intuitive interface that will get you all over the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.

The Garmin Nuvi 760 newest and most fun and useful feature is the "Where am I? and "Where Is My Car?" feature. You can find your car in a crowded parking lot now because the 760 marks the spot where you removed it from the car mount, and by just tapping the screen when you return to the parking lot, it will show you exactly where you parked. This is huge when it comes to going to the mall. All of us have experienced that sinking feeling of looking at a sea of cars and trying to remember exactly where we left our car.

It's second big feature addition is the Multi-Destination Routing feature which allows you to enter multiple stops into the device. For instance, if you need to go to the supermarket, hair dresser, day care and then to the office, the Garmin Nuvi 760 will map out the fastest routes to get to all these destinations and deliver you up to 10 different routes for the most efficient route to run errands, sales calls and the like. There is also a trip log that provides an electronic, breadcrumb trail of up to 10,000 points so you can see where you've been on the map.

The Garmin Nuvi 760 has a high-resolution, touch screen display that is anti-glare for ease of viewing in the daytime and a display that switches its color profile to make it easy to see in dimming twilight hours into the night. It also allows for 2D and 3D perspective views to help with navigation. Its 4.3 inch diagonal screen gives you 70% more actual screen than the previous 3.5 inch screen and that translates into a better view of the area while driving. This comes in handy if you are looking for a restaurant, ATM or gas station in the area.

Map data is top notch on the Garmin Nuvi 760 with an excellent, detailed City Navigator NT which has detailed road maps and features around six million hotels, gas stations, ATMs restaurants and other points of interest. All of Garmin's mapping and points of interest come from NAVTEQ one of the world's premiere mapping companies.

In addition to mapping, you get hands-free calling services with the Garmin Nuvi 760 so that in palaces where it is illegal to use your cell phone while driving, you can enable Bluetooth on your cell phone and it comes with a microphone and speaker to make your calls hands-free. You simply need to dial the phone number using the Garmin Nuvi 760's touch screen keypad, and the call will be made with your phone as long as it's compatible.

The Garmin Nuvi 760 also has an integrated FM traffic receiver with steer clear of traffic features where you receive alerts from TMC Clear Channel that tells you about traffic jams, road construction and accidents ahead on the road you are traveling on so that you can make alternative trip arrangements before you grind to a halt. TMC Clear channel traffic broadcasts continuously keeping you abreast of the road conditions ahead and you get a three month subscription with the purchase of your Garmin Nuvi 760.

All in all, if you travel, even from home to work, you can benefit from having the Garmin Nuvi 760 onboard. Small, with an easy to use interface and a massive amount of features on the cutting edge of technology, this GPS device stands head and shoulders above competitors for ease-of-use and functionality.
