VCexecute Launched by The Development Cloud Allowing Citrix Hosted Sessions to Communicate with Client Side Programs and Processes.

The Development Cloud has announced the immediate availability of VCexecute which allows client tasks and programs to be executed from a remote session.

Through its simple interface VCexecute opens up this functionality to anybody and is already in use in large scale environments for tasks such as the ability to change the screen resolution on locked down thin clients

Software vendor, The Development Cloud has announced the immediate availability of VCexecute which opens up the power of Citrix Virtual Channels to all system administrators allowing them to run any client side process.

VCexecute allow Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop sessions to communicate with the connecting clients through a simple command line interface and contains a number of predefined tasks and advanced functions built into the product.

"VCexecute has a variety of uses from simple tasks such as the ability to change the client screen resolution or volume when running full screen to more complex acts such as sending notifications to custom client side applications" said The Developments Cloud's Chief Architect David Coombes, "Through its simple interface VCexecute opens up this functionality to anybody and is already in use in large scale environments for tasks such as the ability to change the screen resolution on locked down thin clients" he added.

As with all products from The Development Cloud, VCexecute has a corresponding open source project where developers can contribute code and earn a share of commercial revenues.
