TheraStaff Becomes 15th Division of Eastridge

Eastridge and TheraStaff together will be a powerful match to provide the health care industry with the very best of those in demand.

The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies announces the planned acquisition of specialty staffing business, TheraStaff Inc., slated to occur March 1, 2009. TheraStaff supports health care organizations such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and outpatient clinics with specialized staffing for patient rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy.

"TheraStaff is a notable addition to Eastridge's specialized staffing model and its services are highly complementary to our divisions that currently support staffing for allied health care," says Mike Santos, vice president of business development and new ventures for Eastridge.

Once acquired, Santos says TheraStaff with retain its unique identity and brand but will begin to operate as a specialty division of Eastridge, now the 15th division of The Eastridge Group of Staffing Companies.

"TheraStaff has built a strong presence during the 15 years it's been staffing for patient rehab in California's health care industry," says Santos. "We look forward to expanding its presence nationally."

With its acquisition by Eastridge, TheraStaff gains well-established back-office systems and support to drive future growth in new markets, including those currently served by other Eastridge staffing divisions.

In addition, TheraStaff is set to receive an updated Web site to showcase the company’s unique capabilities and maximize the online user’s experience. The launch of the new Web site and simultaneous announcement is expected in upcoming months.

William Stone, founder of TheraStaff, stays on as president of the TheraStaff division and looks forward to the transition, saying the specialized focus on staffing for rehabilitation will greatly benefit the markets Eastridge serves.

"The need for professionals in the rehab sector of health care is growing and physical therapists and related positions are recognized by the Bureau of Labor Statistics as among the fastest-growing occupations," says Stone.

He adds, "Eastridge and TheraStaff together will be a powerful match to provide the health care industry with the very best of those in demand."
