In late April of this year, Brian Yacktman and Will Kruger joined forces forming Yacktman Capital Group (YCG). The two principals combine their experience in providing a "one-stop" wealth management firm. Since inception, the firm impressively oversees approximately $25 million under management and growing.

YCG is a 100% wholly owned, full service wealth management firm. Services offered include investment management, professional services network, fiduciary services and trust & estate planning, as well as other family office services. A unique set of investment management strategies, along with the aforementioned services, sets YCG apart from other independent advisory firms. Their Equity Global All-Cap Separate Account strategy provides clients with a global core portfolio enhanced with options and hedging. Through the sale of covered calls and naked puts, the option enhancement provides the portfolio with additional income, while achieving the desired price targets of purchases and sales. Hedging provides additional protection through short sales and creates a more defensive and robust portfolio.

For clients who prefer greater diversification, YCG offers asset allocation through their Global Balanced Plus strategy (which includes the Equity Global All-Cap Separate Account strategy as part of the allocation). This strategy provides clients with exposure to various asset classes, including alternative investments. A core satellite approach uses various investment vehicles, such as mutual funds (closed and open-end funds), exchange traded funds (ETFs), hedge funds etc. Some of the benefits of such a strategy include a diverse, opportunistic rebalanced portfolio which offers a competitive fee structure.

Brian Yacktman's exposure to the investment world began at an early age due to the fact that he is the son of Don Yacktman, a former Morningstar manger of the Year and Portfolio Manager for The Yacktman Funds. With a Bachelor in Economics and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University, Brian has managed money for over a decade. Born and raised in Chicago as a classic value investor, Brian seized the opportunity to venture outside his father's firm and begin his own investment advisory business. Brian serves as President and Chief Investment Officer at YCG.

Born in England and raised in South Africa, Will moved to the United States eight years ago to attend Brigham Young University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He provides a wealth of knowledge and experience as a former Investment Associate with the Private Banking & Investment Group at Merrill Lynch located in Los Angeles, California. While at Merrill Lynch, Will was an integral part of a 20-person team that managed over $10 billion serving high net worth individuals, foundations, and endowments. Will serves as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Director of Marketing at YCG.

Despite the recent proliferation of investment advisory service firms across the country, YCG has created an effective niche and has blossomed amidst the recent challenges in the global market place.
