Author Claims Most Churches Are Abusive and False Religions
Dr. Lloyd C. Darby's new book describes the monetary, sexual, and other abuses rampant in most churches. He tells how to stand up and make a difference.
Everett, WA (PRWEB) March 2, 2009 -- Over the years there has been a major decline in the moral and ethical character of those professing to be God's children. Dr. Darby's book, "Religious Business" subtitled, "How to Keep From Being Conned By a False Religion" makes the connection between the origins of distorted doctrine being taught in many churches and the behaviors of the religious institutions of modern times.
Dr. Darby doesn't hold back any punches is his analysis. A significant portion of his book is devoted to the financial abuses of churches and the methods they use to coerce people to give, thus providing the title "Religious Business." However, he also targets errors introduced by notable evangelist Billy Sunday and Billy Graham. He describes the resulting hypocrisy in believers' lives that result from following false doctrines. He details how these doctrines have evolved over many years, especially in African-American churches.
Dr. Darby's book explains the differences between these false religions and the true Church. He offers effective solutions to anyone challenged by the religious mindsets of these institutions that he labels "local congregations, denominations, and Religious Businesses."
It is Dr. Darby's prayer that we work together as a nation of likeminded believers from various backgrounds in an effort to transform incorrect religious concepts into opportunities.
Dr. Darby received his PhD. in philosophy of divinity from the Universal Life Seminary in Sacramento, Ca. He is the founder of The Motivation Inc.
