The German auto maker chooses the prestigious 5 star Sicilian hotel to present its latest model to the International press.

We are proud to have been chosen for two such most prestigious events like the presentation of the latest models of Porsche and Ferrari - comments Paolo Sanavia, General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Giardino di Costanza -

There is no doubt that there is a special feeling between Porsche and Sicily. Maybe because Porsche is the automaker that obtained the most victories in the mythical Targa Florio road race. Maybe for this reason Porsche has chosen to stage the test drive of its new Porsche Boxster S in Western Sicily, with Headquarters at the luxury Kempinski Hotel Giardino di Costanza in Mazara del Vallo. As wih the new Ferrari "California" model some months ago, journalists from all over the world have had the chance this February to test drive the latest Ferrari model along the spectacular routes that lead from Palermo to Mazara and Trapani.

"We are proud to have been chosen for two such most prestigious events like the presentation of the latest models of Porsche and Ferrari - comments Paolo Sanavia, General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Giardino di Costanza - "Western Sicily - which has gone unrecognized until now - has all the right ingredients for this type of event: mild climate, magnificent scenery and panoramic roads, all of which are perfectly complemented by the Kempinski Giardino di Costanza with its luxury, its architecture, its wide range of services and ample, recently refurbished convention facilities, on a par with those offered by the biggest international hotels. Not to mention our warm Sicilian hospitality, and the many rich flavours typical of this land."

The backdrop to the test drives is stunning and the routes could not be more varied: long stretches of highway, demanding mixed-high speed runs and roads that twist and turn all the way up to Erice, also taking in some unique and evocative sites such as the salt flats with their windmills silhouetted against the blue sky and the Greek temples of Segesta.

The hotel is the first 5-star luxury resort and congress centre in Western Sicily. In fact, the Sicilian Kempinski has all the characteristics and the complete range of products to satisfy the high-end MICE market. These car launches boost the credit the hotel has already acquired abroad, and from now on the name Kempinski will be indissolubly linked to the world of major events.

The Kempinski Hotel Giardino di Costanza opened its doors in 2005. Surrounded by vast stretches of vineyards and olive groves, the hotel is just a few kilometres from Mazara del Vallo in the Province of Trapani. The sea is a stone's throw away. The Kempinski is easy to reach: an hour's drive from Palermo and Trapani airports. The stunning structure combined with the famous international brand Kempinski, leader in the luxury hotel sector, are the secret of its international success. The hotel has 91 rooms and suites all told, each with a terrace or balcony, and the décor is in the most genuine traditional Sicilian style.

The cuisine - extremely important for any hotel - is in the capable hands of Executive Chef Salvatore Barbara. The Dubbesi Restaurant meets the demands of gourmets and wine connoisseurs who are looking for authentic Sicilian dishes spiced up by the latest creative touches in Mediterranean cooking. The Kempinski Giardino di Costanza also offers the "Lido Costanza", a private beach with a restaurant on the shore. For the wellness of guests who come here on holiday or on business, there is NAKHLAH Longevity, Lifestyle and Beauty, which incorporates the Daniela Steiner Beauty Spa and OLIS, where guests can have a diagnostic, therapeutic and educational protocol drawn up by specialists of international renown. The Kempinski Hotel Giardino di Costanza also devotes particular attention to families, providing both mini and baby clubs. There is no shortage of convention facilities either: the recently refurbished "La Villa" - originally a 19th century baglio [fortified Sicilian farmhouse with a large courtyard] that was part of the original complex - equips Western Sicily with a state-of-the-art venue for meetings, conferences, incentives and large and small events, which can be hosted in three different rooms with a seating capacity respectively of 500, 250 and 160.
