Thin Film Solar Summit Europe 2009 has just released it's event schedule. Bringing together the leading minds in Thin Film PV the event is designed specifically to address the major technical and commerical challenges facing the industry in Europe including standardization, supply and demand, investment and finance, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

The Thin Film Solar Summit Europe, organized by Thin Film Today, will take place in Berlin, Germany, from May 19 - 20, 2009. The summit will provide a forum for addressing the most critical business challenges currently facing the Thin Film Industry in Europe with a focus on providing realistic market forecasts, the very latest technologies and manufacturing techniques, reducing BOS costs, improving module efficiencies, securing investment and finance, standardization, overcoming issues of supply and demand and much more.

Eric Oldekop, managing director, Nanosolar who will contribute in a panel session chaired by Daniela Schreiber of Eupd research focused on "reducing costs and maximizing ROI from Thin Film production".

Manfred Baechler, CTO, Phoenix Solar who will address the challenge of reducing balance of system (BOS) costs for large-scale Thin Film PV systems.

The main presentations will be complimented by focused industry roundtables, questions and answer sessions and expert panel discussions, as well as a highly focused thin film exhibition and industry cocktail party.
