Josh Robert Thompson--comedian and actor best known for his dead-on impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger--recorded brand new voice tracks last week for the popular animated social satire site, JibJab.com. If you're a JibJab fan, you know Josh's work--he's all over the site, appearing in such classics as "Livin' With Ahnuld," "Night of the Living Democrats," "Mr. Pick-Up," and decked-out in full monster make-up for the "Frankenstein" series. Of the new material recorded, JibJab's blog proclaims, "(Thompson) laid down some sweet, sweet tracks in the studio."
Thompson first caught the attention of JibJab founders, Evan and Gregg Spiridellis, as the voice of "Fake" Arnold Schwarzenegger on "The Howard Stern Show"--an uncanny vocal imitation of the real thing that has fooled fans, celebrities and the media for over half a decade. Thompson also appears regularly on the Craig Ferguson-hosted "Late Late Show," where he can be seen donning a muscle suit and rubber face appliance as The Governator, or doing a frighteningly authentic Robert De Niro impersonation--complete with over-sized mole.
Thompson's talent as a versatile voice actor inevitably led him to Disney, where his voice is heard in everything from interactive game projects like,"Chicken Little: Ace in Action," "Wall-E," "Bolt," "Up," "Cars," to the theme park attraction, "Toy Story Mania." Josh is also the current voice of Heimlich the caterpillar from Disney/Pixar's "A Bug's Life."
Expect Thompson's new JibJab projects to debut within the next few months on their official site.
