Natural Source Printing, Inc., America's greenest resource for green printing on unique eco-friendly and tree-free papers has added The Port of Long Beach to its list sustainable minded clients using FiberStone® tree-free paper made from natural stone by producing two high quality 'green' brochures promoting the Port's initiative to preserve clean water and promoting it's air quality improvement strategies.

High quality images such as these, involving deep blues, greens, reflections on the surface of water, as well as the Port's beautiful new multicolored logo often present challenges for a printer but we were able to pull these off without issue on FiberStone™ paper's unique matte finish.

Natural Source Printing (NSP), an FSC certified, carbon neutral green printer and source for unique, eco-friendly and tree-free printing, packaging, and marketing materials recently produced two high quality printed brochures for the Port of Long Beach on NSP's own unique FiberStone™ tree-free paper.

Mary Loyer, President of Natural Source Printing, Inc. says, "We introduced FiberStone™ paper to the Port of Long Beach because of it's fantastic water conservation story and unique performance characteristics such as it's durability in extreme weather conditions, and waterproof nature." Mary adds, "Recycled paper, or any other tree-free paper just wouldn't do in the wet environments we figured these brochures might be exposed to. We just knew that FiberStone™ tree-free paper was a perfect fit for them and we're proud to have been chosen to supply the Port of Long Beach with these gorgeous brochures."

Ryan Gragnano, Communications Specialist for the Port of Long Beach is quoted as saying, "We are excited about incorporating FiberStone into our production. We work hard to stay on top of new products and technology. FiberStone™ is just one of many alternative products the Port uses in an effort to reduce the environmental footprint of our operations."

The two full color, double sided 'green' brochures were designed by the Port of Long Beach to promote it's water and air quality improvement strategies making them a 'natural' fit for FiberStone™ water-conserving, water-proof paper. Both brochures feature striking four-color process images of the ocean and sky, sea life, and real life photos of Port personnel and processes. Loyer stated, "High quality images such as these, involving deep blues, greens, reflections on the surface of water, as well as the Port's beautiful new multicolored logo often present challenges for a printer but we were able to pull these off without issue on FiberStone™ paper's unique matte finish."

FiberStone™ Papers have a carbon footprint that is less than 1/3 that of virgin paper and ½ that of recycled paper. The manufacture of FiberStone™ Papers uses no water in processing, no trees, no chemicals, and very little energy to produce! In contrast, virgin and recycled paper production creates thousands of gallons of contaminated waste water, twice the energy, and uses environmentally damaging chemicals such as bleach. FiberStone™ Papers come from an abundant renewable resource--calcium carbonate.

Mary Loyer, President of Natural Source Printing, Inc. states, "Our vision is to become a trusted adviser, helping companies achieve their environmental goals. As companies embrace greater responsibilities for environmental concerns, they are seeking resources to help them along that path." Natural Source Printing offers it's clients many solutions such as it's own Carbon Free Print™ program, FSC Certification, free and low cost green training and consultation programs, and the widest array of green, eco-friendly tree-free printing materials and packaging options in the U.S.

Reduce, Recycle, and Renew have been key features of NSP's products. Other examples are their Re-pulpable Fiberboard POP displays, biodegradable plastic bags, and 14 lb. recycled paper shipping palettes which can hold up to 8,500 lbs. and are completely repulpable.
