Southwest Signal Engineering announced today that it has changed its corporate name to Xorail Inc. (pronounced "Zo-rail")

Xorail is one of the leading providers nationally of signal and communications services to the railroad and other industries. In September 2008, the Company announced the creation of a separate construction subsidiary called Xorail Construction Services, which specializes in construction services for railroads.

Southwest Signal Engineering began operations in Jacksonville in 1990. The company has grown to 240 employees, with offices in ten different states. About one-half of the Company's employees are located in Jacksonville.

Kash Krishnarao, President and CEO of Southwest and Manager of XCS, remarked; "This announcement reflects the fact that our Company is no longer just a signal engineering company, nor is it just located in the Southwest. Xorail is a nationwide Company that has capabilities of providing "cradle to grave" signal and communication services to railroads, commuter agencies and other industries.

"There has been no change in management or personnel. We will be providing the same products and fine services on which we have built our reputation in the industry for over 18 years. Moving forward we will be Xorail, a name as unique as our eXceptiOnal services."
